Richard Zahn is Chief Executive Officer of ZMG Construction. His 23 years of leadership and management experience have allowed him to assemble ZMG’s national award-winning team. His distinguished military service and training influence the company’s service culture and promote the highest levels of loyalty, professionalism and integrity: ZMG’s definitive characteristics and key to continued success. Under the guidance of Mr. Zahn, ZMG has performed work on more than 900 projects with a combined total value of more than $1.4 billion.
Mr. Zahn entered into a management program at ICI-Glidden Paints Company. After obtaining numerous industry certifications and state General Contractor licenses, he was recruited by a multifamily construction company as Director of Operations. Several years later, he created ZMG (Zahn Management Group) Corp., which then evolved into ZMG Construction.
Mr. Zahn studied, and received various certifications at Fayetteville Technical Community College in EMS-Fire Science and Hazardous Materials. He is a graduate of the SC Reserve Law Enforcement Academy, the US Air Marshall Academy’s “Flying While Armed” program, and studied at the US Army John F. Kennedy Special Operations School as a Psychological Operations Specialist while serving in the United States Army Reserves. Rich served three years on active duty as an Armorer prior to his Reserve duty. He was honorably discharged from both active and reserve duty.
ZMG and Mr. Zahn have recently been designated as national partners with Banc of America Community Redevelopment Corporation under its Community Reinvestment Act obligations.
Rich and his family live in Florida. He enjoys scuba diving, piloting his own aircraft, and giving back to the community via philanthropic endeavors which focus on the issues of homelessness and Child Protective Services.
